OLD BUSINESS:
Discussion:
According to a message from Robert Bronke posted on the KAMSS Forum, the KY
Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has reconvened a group to discuss
eliminating part B of the KAPER form.
Then, both managed care organizations and hospitals in the state of KY
would be required to utilize part A of the KAPER form for credentialing.
In addition, there would be an annual subscription fee per facility and a
fee per provider. Andrea Tackett
advised that the last meeting for this group was cancelled, and at this time,
CHFS is not continuing to pursue this change.

NEW BUSINESS:
Discussion: Cheri
Abell and Debbie Tackett were recognized and congratulated for passing the CPCS
exam. Michelle Stacy was recognized
and congratulated for passing the CPMSM exam.

Debbie Tackett was present as a representative from the KAMSS State Chapter.
Debbie announced that 2008 annual dues invoices have been sent to all
members. The annual KAMSS all-day
CEU meeting is scheduled for

Election of Officers
Discussion:
The duties and responsibilities for each officer position were discussed.
The floor was opened for nominations for Bluegrass Chapter
President-elect and Secretary. The
final nominees were:
President-elect –

Action:
1. Motion was made
and seconded to close the floor for president-elect nominations.
Lisa Adams was elected President-elect.

next Bluegrass Chapter meeting is scheduled for

Educational topics for the April 2008 and October 2008 Bluegrass Chapter

Shepherd. One possible suggestion
was for a presentation on the Commonwealth Credentialing CVO, and another
possible suggestion was a presentation on the Central Baptist Hospital Peer
Review process.
