I have worked for an organization that had the same policy in our bylaws as well. Physicians only in closed session meetings.

Our By-laws state that all Medical Executive Members (which is our whole staff of 10 since we are small) attend the closed meeting. I am not in attendance to take minutes, neither is the CEO or Chief of Nursing. Physicians only. The only time a physician is not invited is when he/she is the subject of the called closed meeting. They are then admitted after initial discussion.

have anything that states who should attend Closed Session Med Executive
Committee meetings? I have not seen anything in writing and my Chief just
asked.
