Saint Joseph Hospital/Saint Joseph East has an opening for a Lead Credentials Coordinator to oversee, monitor, and coordinate credentials activities in compliance with state and federal regulatory standards. Recommends methods and practices for cost effective credentialing criteria that complies with all regulatory standards. Prepares and analyzes operational data and prepares reports/documents to reflect compliance with The Joint Commission Standards. Participates in the establishment of department operating goals and implements procedures and performance standards to achieve these goals related to credentialing. Position is responsible for reconciliation and accuracy of databases. Identifies problems, data trends and recommends appropriate follow-up. Reviews and revises departmental credentialing policies and procedures as needed. This position has a clear working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules & Regulations and serves as a resource in the absence of the Department Director.
The Lead Credentials Coordinator is required to obtain the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certifiation by the National Association Medical Staff Services upon eligibility.
Salary range is between $19 - $30 per hour. Possible sign-on bonus.
